When Pigs Swim to Hit Festival Circuit
Get ready: the swimming pigs of Exuma will soon be walking the red carpet.
The film – When Pigs Swim – has barely been out a week. And yet it has attracted hundreds of views and shares from people around the world.
It has also got the attention of film festivals.
According to Charlie Smith, the director of When Pigs Swim, the Bahamas International Film Festival will offer the world premiere of the full, 15-minute version. The festival runs from December 4 until December 9 at Atlantis on Paradise Island.
Each successive year, BIFF grows significantly, with public relations dollar value of $20 million over 10 years, according to the renowned publicity firm Rogers and Cowan.
BIFF has attracted A-List celebrities such as Johnny Depp, Danny Glover, Heather Graham, Alan Arkin, Sir Sean Connery, Nicholas Cage, Laurence Fishburne, Roger Corman, Daryl Hannah, Sophie Okonedo, Anna Faris, Naomie Harris, Zoe Kravitz and Sydney T. Poitier.
